Before I took this wine tasting class, I did not have any idea about how to classified or distinguish a good quality tasty red or white wine. It definitely made a difference, being able to identify a wine that will fulfill my expectation and will complement my meal, being able to recognize the different aromas and flavors in a wine, and most important the origins of it and the thousands types of grapes available out there, will contribute to create exciting and delicious dishes as well as to recommend the perfect wine to go along with a dish. As a culinary student it is important to know how to differentiate the different types of wines and sparkling wines in order to have creditability and for self enjoyment.
