working the front of the house in a restaurant can be metally challenging. You have to deal with not only the general public but also the chef in the back. Complications arise and things work out and often sometime they do not, it is our job to keep things running smoothly with the customer and also the chef. The customer is demanding and seeks perfection from our service and food…and there is nothing wrong with that. Which is something i expect when I visit a restaurant. After experiencing working in the cafe and serving the general public i’ve already confirmed that i don’t ever want to be a server..although i’d do it only if i was desperate and needed the work. To function well as a server you need a strong and outgoing personality with the ability to keep track of your tables and your customers needs. Without these traits, you will struggle to keep up and keep your customer satisified.
